What the ABDM module does
ABHA creation via Aadhaar OTP
Create a new ABHA during registration using the Aadhaar OTP flow, with ABHA address suggestion and creation.
ABHA creation via Driving Licence
For patients without Aadhaar to hand, create ABHA through the Driving Licence document flow.
Verify and link an existing ABHA
Patients who already have an ABHA are verified and linked to their hospital record, and can be unlinked if needed.
ABHA QR codes and cards
Generate ABHA QR codes from the ABDM gateway or locally, and retrieve and display the patient's ABHA card.
QR-based patient lookup
Find a patient by scanning their ABHA QR code, and list every patient linked to ABDM.
Gateway health check
Test the ABDM gateway connection and check any patient's ABDM status from inside the HMIS.

Is Tapti HMIS ABDM compliant?
Tapti HMIS is built against the National Health Authority's ABDM Sandbox specifications, with ABHA creation, verification and linking inside patient registration.
Can patients create ABHA without Aadhaar?
Yes. Alongside the Aadhaar OTP flow, ABHA can be created through the Driving Licence document flow.
What if the patient already has an ABHA?
The existing ABHA is verified and linked to the patient's hospital record. It can also be unlinked later.
Is ABDM included in every plan?
