What Gujarat hospitals are replacing
Walk into a mid-size hospital anywhere in Gujarat and the pattern is familiar. Patient history lives in registers and loose files. Billing is calculated by hand or in a desktop program the wards cannot see. Room charges depend on someone remembering to add them. Doctor sharing is worked out at month end and argued over. Support problems go to a vendor's WhatsApp and disappear.
None of that is unique to Gujarat, but the cost is real here too: missed charges, slow discharges and owners who cannot see the day's collections until the accounts team closes the books. Tapti HMIS puts the patient record, the bill and the reports on one system, so the front desk, the ward, the lab and the owner all look at the same numbers.
The system is built for Indian hospitals rather than adapted for them: invoice numbering that follows the April to March financial year, GST-ready HSN codes, TPA and mediclaim workflows, and automated jobs that run on IST.
Which Gujarat hospitals it fits
Tapti HMIS runs hospitals from 5 beds to 400+ beds. Here is how different kinds of hospital use it.
Nursing homes and small hospitals
Start with OPD and IPD on one package, then switch on lab, surgery or inventory when you need them.
IPD moduleMaternity and OB-GYN hospitals
Delivery records sit in the IPD file, and the paediatrician is recorded with the surgical team.
IPD moduleSurgical hospitals
Operation scheduling, surgical team, risk classification and printed operation notes in the OT module.
Surgery & OT moduleDialysis and nephrology centres
Dedicated dialysis forms keep every session on the patient's record, ready for the next visit.
IPD moduleHospitals with an in-house lab
Template-based result entry, verification and report printing, with lab charges flowing onto the same bill.
Lab moduleInsurance-heavy hospitals
Cashless files per admission, pre-authorisation and claim status tracked against the IPD invoice.
Mediclaim & TPA module
Government schemes, ABDM and your records
Government health insurance is part of daily life for many Gujarat hospitals. Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY runs in the state co-branded with Gujarat's own Mukhyamantri Amrutam (MA) scheme as PMJAY-MA, so an empanelled hospital often treats scheme patients, cash patients and private-insurance patients in the same ward on the same day.
Scheme claims are filed on the government's own PM-JAY portal. Tapti HMIS does not submit claims there. What it does is keep the evidence a claim depends on in one place: the admission, the bed, the clinical record across 19 IPD sub-modules, uploaded images and documents, and an IPD invoice that matches the treatment. Private insurance runs through the Mediclaim module, with pre-authorisation, cashless requests per admission and submission, payment and rejection tracking.
ABDM is a separate, national programme, and it is easy to mix the two up: an ABHA number is not a PM-JAY card. Tapti HMIS is officially ABDM-integrated for milestones M1, M2 and M3, listed by the National Health Authority as an ABDM integration partner (integration completed 18 Sep 2026). That covers ABHA creation and verification at registration, along with record linking and consent-based record requests, all from the registration screen your front desk already uses. On the records side, Tapti HMIS handles linking and sharing health records as a Health Information Provider, so a patient's health records can be shared through ABDM with consent.
Questions to ask any HMS vendor in Gujarat
Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara or Rajkot, the shortlist usually looks alike. These questions separate the vendors.
- Will my CA accept the invoices?Ask for HSN codes on GST bills and invoice numbers that reset each financial year. Tapti handles both out of the box.
- Do room charges post without a reminder?Tapti applies room and bed charges for every admitted patient at 5:00 AM IST each day, and catches up on any it missed.
- Can each role see only its own screens?Permissions in Tapti go down to View, Add, Edit and Delete per screen, so billing staff, nurses and doctors each get the access they need.
- How will my staff learn it?Tapti's onboarding is role-based training for reception, doctors, nurses, lab, billing and administrators, plus printed reference guides, delivered on site if you want it.
- Where does our data live?Choose cloud, managed by Tapti Technology with daily backups, or on-premise if your hospital needs its own servers.
- What happens when something breaks?Tapti logs every issue in a support ticket system built into the software, with CRM sync, so nothing is lost in a chat thread.
- Can I call the company directly?Tapti Technology is based in Surat. The sales line, +91 80000 08862, reaches the Tapti team directly.

Public prices, no guesswork
Tapti publishes its starting prices so a Gujarat hospital can budget before the first meeting. One standalone module (OPD, Laboratory or Pharmacy) starts at ₹5,000 a year for up to 3 users. OPD + IPD starts at ₹12,000 a year. The Full Suite, which adds lab, pharmacy, surgery, inventory and mediclaim, starts at ₹15,000 a year. These rates cover hospitals up to 15 beds, and GST is extra. Larger hospitals get a quote built around their bed count and modules, and hospitals above 100 beds get a custom quote.

Common questions
Which cities in Gujarat does Tapti HMIS serve?
Any city or town in the state. Tapti HMIS runs in the browser, with cloud hosting managed by Tapti Technology or on-premise servers, so a hospital in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surat or a district town gets the same software.
Where is Tapti based, and does it do on-site implementation in Gujarat?
Tapti Technology is based in Surat, Gujarat. The team does on-site implementation and training at your hospital anywhere in the state, and in other states too. Call +91 80000 08862 or book a free demo and tell us the location.
Is Tapti HMIS ABDM integrated for hospitals in Gujarat?
Yes. Tapti HMIS is officially ABDM-integrated for milestones M1, M2 and M3, listed by the National Health Authority as an ABDM integration partner (integration completed 18 Sep 2026). The integration is national, so it works the same for a hospital in Ahmedabad, Rajkot or a district town.
How does Tapti HMIS help with PM-JAY and MA scheme patients?
Scheme claims are filed on the government PM-JAY portal, and Tapti HMIS does not submit them there. It keeps the admission, the clinical record, uploaded documents and an IPD invoice that matches the treatment complete and in one place, so the claim paperwork is ready to file. Private insurance and TPA cashless files run in the Mediclaim module.
How much does hospital management software cost in Gujarat with Tapti?
From ₹5,000 a year for one standalone module, ₹12,000 a year for OPD + IPD and ₹15,000 a year for the Full Suite, for hospitals up to 15 beds, GST extra. Larger hospitals get a quote.
Can we move our old patient data into Tapti HMIS?
